I provide counseling services to adolescents, adults, and preteens.  I see people for individual, family, and couples counseling.

Services for individuals address the following conditions:  depression; bipolar disorder (in conjunction with a psychiatrist); trauma and grief; disruptive behavior including anger problems; substance abuse; and work/professional problems involving mood or other behavioral problems.

I use a variety of techniques including interpersonal, cognitive, and existential psychotherapy.  Effective  counseling results from a positive working alliance between counselor and client.  That is something I attend to with your feedback as a critical element.

It is important to work in collaboration with other involved  professionals.  There are a number of psychiatrists that I work with regularly.  I am always willing to meet new professionals who will work with me and communicate for your benefit.

When I work with adolescents, the approach usually involves individual and family counseling.  Family input and participation is critical to the counseling process.  My experience over the years has involved regular and task oriented communication with school counselors, psychologists, social workers, and administrators.   I also have positive working experiences with court services personnel.

I value and enjoy my work and hope to share that spirit with my clients.
