Resident in Counseling
I provide counseling services across the lifespan and specialize in individual counseling with children, teens, and young adults. I have over a decade of counseling experience in the K-12 school setting which provides me with a unique perspective when working with children and adolescents. I understand the complexity between school and home life and work to establish harmony and balance with both.
My approach to counseling is very humanistic, considering the whole person and their individual needs. I utilize techniques from solution-focused and cognitive behavior theories as well. I aim to create a safe environment where a client can be themselves free from judgment or shame. I work in collaboration with my client and any stakeholder (parents, guardians, schools, doctors, etc.) when appropriate.
I have experience working with individuals to address the following: depression, anxiety, grief, behavior concerns, educational concerns, LGBTQIA+, and more. I also have experience working with families to navigate educational disabilities, specifically the 504 process and behavior challenges in the home.
